  • Communication breakdowns within health care organizations often stem from a reluctance to voice concerns and share information when patient safety is at risk. Speaking up varies depending on the dynamic situations and relationships nurses encounter in clinical practice. This qualitative metasynthesis aimed to understand the experiences of nurses speaking up within different contexts and identify factors facilitating or impeding such behavior.
