Description
  • Hull (seated) observes a Duke Hospital nurse as she breathes through a tube connected to a machine monitoring air flow. Hull used air flow measurements to study oxygen supply and the effects of anesthesia. Hull (Ph.D., Duke, 1946) was an instructor in physiology from 1946 to 1949 and 1953 to 1965. At other times in his career, Hull worked with the United States Air Force and N.A.S.A. (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) in respiration technology.
