Item Description

Description	This is a series of letters written by Dr. Davison, former Dean of the Duke University Medical School, discussing the legal and professional liability issues involved in using medical students as externs. Dr. Davison has employed medical students during summers to help him with his practice in Roaring Gap, NC. An article from the JAMA, April 4, 1966 titled “employment of medical students as externs” is attached to one of the letters. The use of externs and PAs is contrasted.
