Description |
- Summary minutes of meeting held between AAPA's Board of Directors and its Board of Advisors on April 19, 1972 in Durham, NC prior to the Fourth Annual Duke Conference on Physician's Assistants. Major topics discussed were: the proliferation of other organizations, such as the National Association of Physician Assistants (NAPA), the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Midwest Association of Physician Assistants, to represent PAs and what to do about it; the need to become more inclusive of PAs, especially Medex graduates; need to expand members of the Board of Advisors to include medical specialty organizations and MDs with "political" influence. Also, it was highly recommended that AAPA work hard to obtain tax exempt status so they could apply for grants.
