Dear Jonah,
I do so hate to address any one in Germany - but I seem not to have the same feeling about the race that many American friends have - I was delighted to hear from you and shall be more than delighted to see you & your

[2]
family when you come to England and are among decent people. I can hear you say "How vicious". It will be wonderful to see you in Oxford once more. There is a woman that the Penfields are entertaining for a time but I feel sure that is a mistake. I am here with Dr & Mrs McCrae. I do not remember if you know them. I think he had gone to Philadelphia before you went to the Hopkins. They brought me here for a "change of air from Oxford" - It is a lovely spot but I am always happier at

[3]
home, where everything is associated with my two dear men. Bill Francis & his wife & baby have been living with me for six months. He is to have charge of the Library when it goes to McGill & is working on the catalogue. Strikes & various difficulties have delayed its completion. Archie Malloch has been helping too - he leaves for Montreal in September. I shall miss him terribly as he has been // constantly at no 13 - since 1914 & has been an immense comfort to me in every way. I hear constantly from Mrs Futcher - they are

[4]
happy little Brass Head as usual. Archie hopes that he and Graham Ross may live together in Montreal. Be sure to let me know when you are coming to England. My love to you both -Affectionately
Grace R. Osler
