Dear Jonah
It has been such a disappointment not to be in Oxford when you were there - but Bill Francis tells me you are coming back. I shall be at home Sept 30th and hope to find a note from you telling your plans. You must come to me when you return. I fear my cook & parlour maid will be away and I could not make your family comfortable but you let me know and I'll let you know. I have just heard from Bob Emmons that they have got their mother safely home which is a blessing - it is such

a tragedy.
I shall be so glad to see you.
Sincerely
Grace R. Osler
