Description	This 11 April 1978 from David Bissonette, AASA president, encourages members and their supervising surgeons to write to Dr. David Sabiston and Dr. Kenneth Printen at the American College of Surgeons to financially "support the surgical add-on examination" being developed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Bissonette indicates that "One of the taunted unknowns surrounding the issue of specialty PA's and the certification mechanism for surgical PA's has been the question of actual numbers requiring certification. Now is the time to stand up and be counted or forever hold your peace in oblivion."
