Item Description

Description
  • Explores the relationship between substance use and increased risk of HIV transmission within the men who have sex with men (MSM) community. Substance use can impair decision making and risk perception leading to higher-risk sexual behavior; therefore, increases risk of potential HIV seroconversion. Targeted intervention to reduce rates of substance misuse with education on safer substance use should continue to be explored with the goal of overall HIV risk reduction.
