  • Report of the AAPA's Goals and Priorities Committee released November 1973. The strengths and weaknesses of the AMA's September 1973 proposal to establish a National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants are discussed and listed with recommendations to support independent commission but only with substantial increased voting representation of Academy. The AMA's accreditation process is discussed and recommendations are made to seek Academy representation on the Joint Review Committee. Continuing medical education requirements and the organizational structure of the AAPA were also reviewed.
