Description
  • James L Lippe of the Insurance Rating Board response to D. Robert Howard, PA program director at Duke University stating that a meeting of their Professional Liability Committee was forthcoming and that Dr. Howard's request to establish a liability insurance code for physician's assistants would be on the agenda. A second letter from Mr. Lippe to Dr. Howard dated September 25, 1969 states that the Committee met and "has acted favorably on the program [physician's assistants]. They have agreed that the present Physician, Surgeons and Dentist Professional Liability policy is the appropriate vehicle for providing coverage for physicians assistants and there is no doubly that the coverage afforded under this policy would be entirely adequate."
