  • This letter dated September 4, 1973 calling a meeting of the Special Committee on the Role of the Physician's Assistant in the Hospital was sent to Dr. Thomas Kinney at Duke University by Dr. Bruce A. Raymond, Secretary, American Hospital Association. The meeting was to take place on September 17-18, 1973 at the AHA Headquarters Building in Chicago, IL. A list of committee members is provided in the letter with Chester L. Stocks noted as chairman. A follow up letter dated September 11, 1971 from Dr. Raymond elaborates on the meeting and types of personnel to be considered in discussions. Continuing correspondence dated October 10 and October 18, 1973 between James Hague, Secretary of the AHA and Dr. Kinney indicates time of additional meetings.
