- Program provided to individuals attending the Second National Conference on New Health Practitioners at the Monteleone Hotel, New Orleans, LA on March 27-30, 1974. The Council of Medex Programs Semiannual Meeting was conducted prior to the Conference on March 26, 1974 and is noted in the program. The keynote speaker was August Swanson, MD, Director, Department of Academic Affairs, Association of American Medical Colleges. His speech was titled "Physician's Assistant--A New Career or a New Credential?" Six exhibitors attended the Conference.
