Description	This oral history interview was conducted with Dr Stuart J. Knechtle on February 18, 2020 by Taylor Patterson as part of the Dr. David Sabiston Oral History Project. In the interview, Knechtle discusses his educational background, how he decided to become a transplant surgeon, how he selected Duke for his residency, his experience as a surgical resident at Duke under Sabiston, how Sabiston influenced and helped to shape his career in medicine, and his memories of Sabiston.
