Item Description

Description
  • Three of the Library's primary user groups, the Schools of Nursing (SON), Physician Assistant (PA) and Physical Therapy (PT), require their students to have specific textbooks. The SON, PA and PT library liaisons compared required textbooks to the Library's holdings. The liaisons then compiled a list of the Library's available titles and shared this with students and faculty. If a required textbook was in the Library's collection, circulation or usage statistics were determined. If a title was absent from the Library's collection, comparable holdings were identified and shared with faculty in order to promote the available collection. Data gathered was also used to identify gaps in the Library's collection and justify purchase recommendations.
