  • Response letter was sent from John M. Murphy, Congress of the United States, on September 21, 1976 to David E. Mittman thanking him for his support of Mr. Murphy's legislative initiatives that would allow physician assistants to be used to improve the national health care. Murphy mentions his attempts to see the Kennedy-Corman national health insurance plan through Congress and his support of funding for city's hospitals and authorized payments under the supplementary medical insurance program for services of physician assistants in community mental health centers.
