Description
  • This letter from James (Jim) Mau to Dr. William Anlyan contains correspondence between Dr. Eugene A. Stead and Dr. John Z. Bowers, President of the Josiah Macy, Jr. Foundation. In his initial letter dated March 11, 1966 to Bowers, Stead relates that he is having difficulty "gaining support from government sources for the physician's assistant program" and outlines his immediate need for assistance from the Foundation. A brief overview of the Program is provided as an attachment. Bowers responds to Stead in a March 23, 1966 letter saying that he will take the matter up with "our Executive Board" in May.
