Duke Department of Pathology

The Department of Pathology, in the Duke University Hospital School of Medicine, delivers education programs that provide opportunities for study and training as residents, fellows, and pathologists’ assistants. The department's growing research areas garner national attention, and provide new scientists with unique experiences as PhD graduate students. The department is supported by strong core facilities and support labs where they run the Biobank, a biospecimen repository, and perform electron microscopy, immunohistology, and the gamut of medical photography. They also serve as a resource for patients, outside researchers, and other medical professionals.
