Description
Four nurses play a board game at a table in the interns' lounge. The interns' lounge was located in the house staff dormitory on the third floor of the hospital. In 1940, the third floor was rearranged to become the Meyer ward for psychiatric patients and to provide an 18-bed surgical nursery named for Dr. Rudolph Matas.
