Description: George R. Minot (right), professor of Medicine at Harvard University and director of the Thorndike Memorial Laboratory and Visiting Physician to the Boston City Hospital, was one of twenty-one physicians or surgeons for whom a ward in Duke Hospital was named. Amoss was a member of the original faculty of Duke University Hospital as professor and first chair of the Dept. of Medicine (1929-1933).
