Duke Medicine Library & Archives Finding Aids

The Medical Center Archives is the repository for the archival records and printed materials generated by or about the Duke University Medical Center (DUMC), the Duke University Health System (DUHS) and the Duke University School of Nursing (SON). The Archives collects official DUMC/DUHS/SON records, including, but not limited to, the records of administrative offices; academic departments; faculty, administrative and student committees; faculty and student clubs; college and student publications; oral interviews; audio-visual materials; photographs and slides; memorabilia and other ephemeral materials.

Archival records have permanent administrative, legal, fiscal and historical value and are preserved as an asset for the Duke community and other researchers.

The manuscript collection exists to complement the official holdings of institutions records housed in the DUMC Archives.
